November 23, 2012 The problems of cardiology and cardiac surgery were discussed at a meeting which was held by the Prime Minister of Ukraine M. Azarov with country leading physicians.

Mr Todurov has attracted attention to the deficit of qualified personnel (there are only 60 independently operating cardiac surgeons in the country, and medical universities do not have departments of cardiac surgery), without every support for Ukrainian doctors during their internship abroad, that the legislation of Ukraine does not entitle foreign specialists to work in our country and Kiev authorities do not support the work of the Kiev Heart Center.
