Orthodox Metropolitan Volodymyr gave to Kyiv City Heart Center piece of the relics of St. Luke’s- surgeon of the Crimean.

April 19, 2013 Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Vladimir at his residence in the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra met with the director of the Kyiv City Heart Center, chief heart surgeon of Ministry of health of Ukraine, Professor Boris Todurov.

The meeting was also attended by secretary of Archbishop Pereyaslav -Khmelnitsky and Vishnevsky Alexander, deputy of head of the Synodal Department for Health and Pastoral Care hospitals Archpriest Gennady Batenko, chief physician of KRU KHMO “University Hospital” Peter Mihalchevskyy, his deputy Victor Makarov.

On this day, as a gift to the Kiev Heart Center were given five icons of surgeon St. Luke, Archbishop of Crimea , made with the blessing of Metropolitan of Simferopol and Crimea Lazar.

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church blessed the hospital director Boris Todurov. For services to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church were awarded Boris Todurov, Peter Mihalchevski and Viktor Makarov by orders of St. Luke Orthodox Church, Archbishop of Crimea.

Also Boris Todurov handed to archbishop the certificate for some free surgeries to people who are under special care of the Church.
