The XVI scientific conference with international participation “Days of Arrhythmology in Kyiv”

On November 14-15, 2024, the XVI scientific and practical conference with international participation “Days of Arrhythmology in Kyiv” was held at the Heart Institute. The co-organizers of this event are the Heart Institute  and the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine. This annual arrhythmological forum is designed to highlight and summarize the most important achievements in the field of diagnostics, interventional, and drug treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.
The moderators of the conference are the head of the Department of Functional Diagnostics of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine Prof. Oleg Zharinov, and the head of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 of the Odesa National Medical University, Prof. Yuriy Karpenko. The main target audience of the conference is cardiologists, arrhythmologists-electrophysiologists, and doctors of functional diagnostics. The conference was registered as an event of the continuous professional development of cardiologists and doctors of related specialties.
The topics of the conference covered the most modern aspects of interventional arrhythmology and drug treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. Of particular interest to the audience was the presentation of modern technologies for catheter treatment of atrial fibrillation, as well as the latest methods of physiological ventricular stimulation, which are actively implemented in specialized arrhythmological centers in patients with bradyarrhythmias, for the treatment and prevention of heart failure. Attention was drawn to the active implementation of the cardioneuroablation method in the treatment of reflex bradyarrhythmias. Another new topic of modern arrhythmology and functional diagnostics, discussed in detail at the forum, is the diagnosis and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea and its relationship with cardiac arrhythmias. The speakers also highlighted new trends in antiarrhythmic and antithrombotic pharmacotherapy.
Leading specialists from arrhythmological centers and specialized departments of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lutsk, and Odesa took part in the scientific program.
The success of the conference testifies to the active work and unity of arrhythmological centers in implementing the latest approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias and heart blocks, and to the continuous professional development of cardiologists and doctors of related specialties.
