On December 3rd, 2015, a Research and practical conference with international participants „Cardiomyopathies and Heart Failure” took place in the Heart Institute. The Associate Professor of Cardiac surgery from Mount Sinai Hospital (New-York, USA) Allan Stewart presented his lecture “Surgical treatment of aortic dissection – current tendencies and perspectives”.

The main purpose of the Professor’s visit was to do, first time in Ukraine, unique surgical procedures to treat the ascending aorta aneurism in two Ukrainian patients.
