Adult’s and children’s teams of specialists of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine visited Rivne (“Rivne Regional Clinical Medical-Diagnostic Center named after V. Polischuk”). In one day 124 patients, 47 adults and 77 children, were examined and consulted.
On September 6-8, 2019, the 29th Annual Congress of the World Society of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons was held in the capital of Bulgaria Sofia. Doctors of the Heart Institute made two presentations at the Congress.

On August 15, 2019, two patients met at the Heart Institute during a routine examination, to both of them, Professor Borys Todurov implanted mechanical hearts in the fall of 2018 – 47-year-old Vasyl Pavlyuk from Ternopil region and 42-year-old Denis Volkov from Odesa.
July 25, 2019, the world’s smallest pacemaker Micra Medtronic was implanted at the Heart Institute of Heart of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to the patients from Kyiv (67 years old) and Sumy (56 years old) diagnosed with a permanent form of atrial fibrillation, a bradysystolic variant.

Cardiovascular surgeon Andriy Khokhlov (the Heart Institute) received an international certificate of authorization for independent interventions in inoperable or operable patients with an extremely high risk of aortic stenosis.
On July 3, 2019, a team of experts from the Heart Institute visited the Sumy Regional Cardiology Center, where a consultative reception of patients with heart pathology was conducted. The specialists of the Institute also held a master class for local interns.

5 – 20 June 2019, courses on “Treatment of patients before and after cardiac surgery” were conducted on the basis of the Kozyatyn Central District Hospital, with the participation of specialists from the Heart Institute as teachers.
On June 14, 2019, at the Heart Institute, at the Blood Transfusion Department (headed by Victoria Gorobets) was solemnly celebrated the World Donor Day.
June 7-9, 2019, the Baku Heart Days International Congress, organized by the Azerbaijan Society for Cardiovascular Surgery took place on in the capital of Azerbaijan. Professor Borys Todurov presented scientific achievements of the Heart Institute, Kyiv, in his report “Aortic Valve Neocuspidization: short- and mid-term results of Single Center experience”.
On June 7, 2019, a team of doctors from the Heart Institute (Olena Dudko, Tetyana Bilyk, Volodymyr Vashkeba, Andriy Markovets) conducted an examination of patients at the Kolomyia City Center for Primary Health Care.
