Conference “Actual Questions of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery” at the Heart Institute

On April 18, 2019, the 5th Annual Registered Scientific and Practical Conference “Actual Problems of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery” was held at the Heart Institute with the active participation of the departments of cardiosurgery, X-ray endovascular and extracorporeal technologies and functional diagnostics of the Shupik National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (NMAPE).

Visit of Specialists of the Heart Institute to Sumy

On April 17, 2019, a team of specialists of the Heart Institute, led by Professor Boris Todurov, visited Sumy. The specialists of the Institute took part in the scientific-practical workshop in the Medical Institute of the Sumy State University with reports. During the visit, 60 adult patients and 17 children were examined. Professor Borys Todurov had a meeting with representatives of local authorities as well.

On March 25-26, 2019, a team of specialists from the Heart Institute lead by Professor Borys Todurov visited Mykolaiv and Kherson. 113 adult patients and 84 children were examined, two complex cardiac surgeries were performed.

Businessman from Mariupol Financed Purchase of Medical Equipment for the Heart Institute for More Than 2 Million UAH

On March 20, 2019, at the Heart Institute, “Heart on a Palm” Charitable Foundation solemnly transferred medical equipment worth over 2 million UAH to the Heart Institute’s Departments, due to the support of a benefactor with great heart from Mariupol, businessman Mykola Budyka, who funded the purchase of equipment.

For Two Days, Specialists from the Heart Institute Examined 81 patients in Nova Kakhovka

On March 14-15, 2019, cardiac Surgeons of the Heart Institute Nazar Ozeriansky, Vadim Sakalov, Cardiologist Sergey Demidyuk, and Ultrasonography specialist Dmytro Garbuz worked at the Nova Kakhovka City Polyclinic and examined 81 patients, including 16 children.

Conference “Functional Diagnostics of Cardiovascular Diseases” at the Heart Institute

On March 14, 2019, the National Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education named after P. Shupik (NMAPE) and the Heart Institute held the 7th Register Scientific and Practical Conference “Functional Diagnosis of Cardiovascular Diseases” devoted to the 40th anniversary of the Department of Functional Diagnostics. The main purpose of the conference was to familiarize practitioners with modern possibilities of methods of functional diagnostics, discuss the state of preparation of methodological and normative documents.

Modern Technologies and Specialists of the Heart Institute Save Life of a Patient from Kropivnitsky

January 24, 2018 – nine days ago the patient with severe total viral-bacterial pneumonia with very low saturation was brought from Kropyvnytskyi (about 300 km from Kiev) to the Heart Institute. Due to the disease, the lungs of the patient, in fact, did not function and her life was threatened. The transportation was carried out with the support of artificial ventilation of the lungs (AVL) and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), which was an unprecedented event in the history of Ukrainian medicine.
