The purpose of the forum was to acquaint doctors of various specialties with innovations in the field of cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology, methods of functional diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases, introduced into clinical practice during the last year.

On April 28, 2020, the webinar of Prof. Oleg Zharinov, head of the Department of Functional Diagnostics of the National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education named after P. Shupyk (NMAPE), arrhythmologist of the Heart Institute, “The place of warfarin in the treatment of atrial fibrillation from the standpoint of modern recommendations” was held.

On April 24, 2020, as part of the remote cycle of Advanced Training Courses “Outpatient ECG Monitoring”, an interdepartmental webinar organized by the Department of Functional Diagnostics in conjunction with the profile department of Lviv National Medical University named after Danylo Halytsky was held. During the 4-hour webinar, about 600 physicians were in constant contact, lead by cardiologists and functional diagnosticians.

January 31 – February 1, 2020, the First School of Hemostasis was held at the Heart Institute, thanks to the cooperation of the Heart Institute, the Odessa National Medical University (ONMU), the Odessa Scientific and Practical Society of Hemostasiologist, Anesthesiologists, and Reanimatologists as well as Medvoice Medical Science and Education Platform.

November 28, 2019, at the Heart Institute, a Scientific and practical conference with international participation “The role of laboratory research in modern cardiac surgery and cardiology” was held.

A significant event for cardiologists, arrhythmologists, cardiac surgeons, specialists in related specialties was the XI scientific-practical conference with international participation “Arrhythmology Days in Kiev”, which took place on November 21-22, 2019 at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

The 3rd International Conference “Reconstructive Heart Surgery”, co-sponsored by the Heart Institute, was held with great success at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kyiv on October 24-25, 2019.

On June 1, 2019, the Ukrainian-French Scientific and Practical Workshop on Doppler-Echocardiographic Diagnostics “The Generalized Systemic Echo-Tomography of the Heart. Identification of the main anatomical structures” was held at the Heart Institute.

On April 18, 2019, the 5th Annual Registered Scientific and Practical Conference “Actual Problems of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery” was held at the Heart Institute with the active participation of the departments of cardiosurgery, X-ray endovascular and extracorporeal technologies and functional diagnostics of the Shupik National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (NMAPE).

On November 30, 2018, the scientific and practical seminar “Myocardial infarction and heart failure. News of Cardiology in 2018 ” was held at the Heart Institute with the active participation of departments of functional diagnostics, cardiosurgery, X-ray and intravascular and extracorporeal technologies of  the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education ((NMAPE) and with the assistance of the departments of public health of the Kyiv City State Administration and Kyiv Regional State Administration.
