Full working week spent in operating rooms together with leading American surgeons Professor Joseph Bavaria, Dr. Benjamin Jackson, Michael Acker, Hristianom Bermudez and others has been an interesting and rewarding experience exploring the high-tech surgical interventions on the heart, great vessels and lungs. The visit can be regarded as construction of the foundation for further cooperation between experts on both sides of the ocean for the benefit of the people.

The second session was devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure. Professor Yuri Ivanov paid attention on the features of diagnostics of congenital heart disease in adults, professor Oleg Zharinov – Indications for myocardial revascularization in patients with heart failure, professor L. Voronkov (Institute of Cardiology Strazhesko of Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.) – The basic provisions of European recommendations for the treatment of heart failure in 2016.
During the seminar a meeting of heads of specialized departments was held.
