An on-site consultation took place in the city of Lubny in the Poltava region.
Doctors of the Heart Institute – cardiac surgeon Yuriy Kharenko and cardiologist, specialist in ultrasound diagnostics Khrystyna Monastyrska, provided advice to 70 specialized patients with coronary heart disease, valvular pathology including postoperative patients.

Specialists of the Heart Institute are actively providing outpatient consultations for patients with cardiovascular diseases and congenital heart defects. The examination took place at the Dmytrivsky Center in Shpytkivska AZPSM, where 48 patients, including 5 children, were consulted.

On June 1, 2022, at the Heart Institute, employees of the Antidrug Department of the National Police of Ukraine joined in rescuing Ukrainian soldiers – those who are defending their native Ukraine from Russian aggression.

For the first time in Ukraine, Prof. Borys Todurov and a team of doctors from the Heart Institute performed two heart transplants on patients aged 39 and 67 who had mechanical hearts implanted about two years ago.

On the basis of the Central Polyclinic in Irpin and the Bucha Center of Primary Health Care, consultative and diagnostic care was provided to 100 adult patients and 16 children with heart defects and cardiovascular diseases, several patients were advised for cardiac surgery.

Consultation was provided to 157 adult patients with cardiovascular pathology against a background of post-traumatic stress disorder, including patients with exacerbation of chronic coronary heart disease, critical hypertension and severe cardiac arrhythmias.

Advisory and diagnostic assistance to patients with heart defects and cardiovascular diseases were provided on the basis of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Clinical Cardiology Center, Children’s Regional Hospital and Children’s Polyclinic in Kolomyia. Several patients were selected for cardiac surgery. There were patients who needed a heart transplant.

Such a “Heart-team” worked today – Andriy Khokhlov, Maksym Rotar, Konstantin Boyko from the Heart Institute and Oleksandr Rusanov from the Sumy Dispensary took part in the remote consultation. The high-speed internet connection was provided via the Starlink terrestrial satellite station. As a result, a considered decision was made quickly, the patient underwent surgery and feels well.
