Doctors of the Heart Institute Visited the Children’s University Hospital in Krakow

Doctors of the pediatric department of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine — Olena Dudko, Dmytro Garbuz, and Anna Vlasenko — visited the Children’s University Hospital in Krakow (Uniwersytecki Szpital Dziecięcy w Krakowie).

Our doctors not only observed the work of their European colleagues, but also actively participated in professional discussions, exchanged opinions, and together sought solutions in difficult cases. They also took part in a doctors’ council discussing complex clinical cases of congenital heart defects.

The experience of getting acquainted with the latest methods of treating children with congenital heart defects and modern approaches to visualization in pediatric cardiac surgery was especially valuable.

We are grateful to Prof. Tomasz Mroczek, Prof. Janusz Skalskifor for a warm welcome, openness, and willingness to share their knowledge.
