Training on Holter ECG Monitoring

08-04-2026

On April 7–8, 2026, a practical skills training course on “Holter ECG Monitoring in Paroxysmal Tachyarrhythmias” was held at the clinical base of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The event was organized by the Department of Functional Diagnostics of the Shupyk National University of Healthcare of Ukraine, with technical support from the company Imesk.

The training took place in person, bringing together cardiologists and functional diagnostics specialists from various regions of Ukraine. Lecturers included faculty members of the Department of Functional Diagnostics: Professor Oleh Zharinov, Associate Professors Anna Verezhnikova, Victor Kuts, Nataliia Lifantieva, functional diagnostics physician Nataliia Yevtushenko, and doctoral candidate cardiologist of the Heart Institute Yaroslav Skybchyk. The training was registered on the website of the Center for Quality of Education of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine under the aegis of the University as a CPD (Continuing Professional Development) event.

The program covered algorithms for processing Holter recordings using the ECG Pro monitoring system in patients with paroxysmal tachyarrhythmias, as well as clinical interpretation of the data based on the latest guidelines and case discussions. Prior to the training, the software was installed on participants’ personal computers. The learning process also included a homework assignment: analysis of original Holter recordings with preparation of a study report.

The Department recognizes the significant demand among physicians of various specialties for expanding the scope of short-term CPD programs involving functional diagnostic methods. The experience gained and feedback from participants will be taken into account when planning future CPD activities.
