A New Step Towards Joint Good Deeds!

Today, the Director of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Borys Todurov, and the General Director of the International Children’s Center Artek, Serhii Kapustin, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The International Children’s Center Artek is a legendary camp that for more than 100 years has created a unique space for children’s health, education, development, and support. Each year, Artek welcomes over 13,000 children from across Ukraine — orphans, internally displaced children, children of Ukraine’s defenders, children from large and foster families, as well as those affected by the war.

One of the key areas of cooperation will be the organization of mandatory preventive medical examinations for children during their stay at Artek, within the framework of the “Child’s Health Passport” program, prior to the start of rehabilitation. This will allow timely detection of health issues and ensure the safest possible conditions for children at the camp.

The main goals of the Memorandum are to unite efforts for:

• High-quality medical support for children during rehabilitation;
• Disease prevention;
• Organization of safe and comfortable living conditions;
• Joint implementation of educational, rehabilitation, and preventive programs.

At Artek, children receive health care, rest, new knowledge, friendships, and opportunities to participate in creative, sports, and patriotic projects. Safety, modern infrastructure, and a professional team — everything to make every child feel at home.
