On May 25-27, 2024, in Munich, Germany, the annual congress on anesthesiology and intensive care “Euroanesthesia 2024” was held, which this year was attended by more than 6,000 delegates from more than 110 countries.
Participation in such events increases the prestige and reputation of medical institutions and individual specialists on the world stage. The congress provides a unique opportunity to share experience and latest knowledge with fellow anesthesiologists from around the world.
In addition, participation in the congress provides an opportunity to present one’s own scientific research and achievements, to receive valuable feedback from colleagues and experts, and to find new ideas for further research.
Doctors – anesthesiologists of the Heart Institute Stepan Marunyak and Daryna Tkachenko actively participated in the Euroanesthesia 2024 Congress. So, the head of the kidney transplantation and hemodialysis department, Ph.D. Stepan Marunyak presented poster presentations that highlighted the latest clinical data obtained in scientific research under the leadership of Prof. Oleg Loskutov and Prof. Borys Todurov. These reports covered important aspects of modern anesthesiology and intensive care, including the analysis of the microbial landscape and antibiotic resistance in combat wounds, the analysis of the effectiveness of the use of marginal donor organs, the determination of factors in the development of acute kidney injury in the postoperative period, and the analysis of the frequency of professional burnout among anesthesiologists during military operations.
The presentations at the Euroanesthesia 2024 Congress not only demonstrate the achievements of Ukrainian healthcare but also contributes to the integration of Ukrainian specialists into the international medical community, raising the level of medical services in Ukraine and contributing to the development of science and education in the field of anesthesiology and intensive care.
