On April 15, 2022, Director of the Heart Institute Prof. Borys Todurov visited the Sumy Regional Cardiology Dispensary with a team of doctors – cardiac surgeon Oleh Zelenchuk, ultrasound specialist, cardiologist Oksana Ostrovska, cardiologist Anna Shkandala.

With the assistance of the administration of the Cardiology Dispensary, especially their cardiac surgeon Alexander Rusanov, a graduate of the Heart Institute, such cooperation has been lasting for more than nine years. More than 60 adult patients with cardiovascular disease were examined and consulted.

The team of the Heart Institute also brought from Kyiv much-needed humanitarian aid and consumables which had already been used in the evening same day during two operations on patients with acute heart attacks.
