Our Team at the World Transplant Congress, San Francisco

The team of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine — Borys Todurov, Havrylo Kovtun, Serhii Sudakevych, and Sofiia Chaikovska — represented Ukraine at the World Transplant Congress in San Francisco.

This was a historic event: for the first time, Ukrainian transplant specialists had the opportunity to present the results of their work before the largest global medical community.

At the invitation of Association Presidents Jon Kobashigawa and Emily Blumberg, Professor Borys Todurov delivered a keynote lecture. His 30‑minute presentation on the work of the transplantation team during wartime provided the audience of 6,000 medical professionals with a clear picture of the realities in Ukraine and received strong support.

The Heart Institute continues to advance Ukrainian transplantation, to share the truth about wartime medicine with the international community, and to fulfill its mission of saving lives.
