Our Cardiac Surgeons Returned from Training in Germany

Sofia Chaykovska, Maksym Taranov, Volodymyr Pres, Khrystyna Palyga spent a busy week at the Medizinische Hochschule Hannover — the leading European center for lung transplantation.

The doctors worked actively — assisted in lung transplantations, participated in multi-organ harvesting, studied perfusion technologies, and mastered the intricacies of regional anesthesia.

The main achievement is the start of a large research project on the preservation and transportation of donor hearts and cooperation in the field of graft biobanking.
