During the year, a team of doctors from Kyiv City Heart Center, led by Director Prof. Boris Todurov, were performing humanitarian services in Georgia.

Despite the fact that in recent years the country has significantly increased its economic output, the social and cultural aspects, the level of cardiac surgery is still quite basic. Georgia, the country with 5 million population has cardiac services only in the capital – Tbilisi. With the help of government and sponsors, a cardiac hospital was built in Batumi in 2011. The leaders of this social project directly addressed to Boris Todurov as to the main cardiac surgeon of Ukraine, for development and establishment of cardiac surgery in Georgia. This program has already helped to save the lives of 56 citizens of Georgia.
