Heart Institute Transplant Team Participates in the World Congress of Heart and Lung Transplantation

The transplant team of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine participated in the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) Meeting 2025 in Boston, USA. Representing Ukraine were Borys Todurov, Serhii Sudakevych, Ihor Kuzmych, Sofiia Chaikovska, and Mykola Melnyk.

Sofiia Chaikovska was a keynote speaker in the Women in Transplantation session, where she shared her professional journey in surgery and discussed the challenges and achievements of the team working under wartime conditions.

Additionally, a poster presentation on The Use of Marginal Donor Hearts in Heart Transplantation was featured at the conference and attracted significant interest from the global medical community.
