For the First Time in Ukraine – the Heart Institute team Performed a Heart Retransplant

A unique operation took place at the Heart Institute e – a 30-year-old patient underwent the first heart retransplant in Ukraine.
This is his third heart! Seven years ago, the first transplantation was performed in Minsk, but over time, the heart began to fail.
Petro was on the waiting list for a year.

The operation was successfully performed by a team of our doctors:
Prof. Borys Todurov, Maksym Taranov, Anton Shpachuk, Sofia Chaykovska, Oleksandr Revenko, Mykola Melnyk, David Shabanov, Stepan Marunyak.
