On November 4, 2022, the 30th-anniversary concert “Heart for Heart” was held in the Polish city of Zabrze, which was organized by the Foundation for the Development of Cardiac Surgery named after Prof. Zbigniew Religa and was held under the honorary patronage of the President of Poland Andrzej Duda. As part of the concert, awards were presented for a special contribution to the development of cardiac surgery.

The event initiates a new form of continuous professional development of doctors on the basis of the Heart Institute with the participation of the departments of the P. Shupyk National Institute of Health of Ukraine. Currently, a number of thematic school programs on various aspects of cardiology, functional diagnostics and cardiac surgery are being prepared.

Today, Maksym’s mother, Mrs. Tatyana, told us that the boy has been leading an active and full life of an ordinary teenager for a long time. He even does sports. And he is also thinking about choosing a future profession and does not rule out that he will become…a doctor!

Despite the war, we do everything possible to give our patients a new life. Tonight, a transplant took place at the Heart Institute – 20-year-old Sofia from the Donetsk region received her new heart after a whole year of waiting.
We are glad to be able to keep the medical front strong.
