Borys Todurov and Sofiia Chaikovska Deliver Lectures in Chernivtsi

Recently, the Palace “Akademichnyi” in Chernivtsi hosted a gathering of doctors from the Chernivtsi Regional Clinical Cardiology Center, representatives of the medical community and health authorities — including Nataliia Svestun, Director of the Department of Health of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration; Ihor Herush, Rector of Bukovinian State Medical University; Iryna Makoviichuk, Director General of the Regional Cardiology Center; as well as students of Bukovinian State Medical University.

Professor Borys Todurov presented a lecture entitled “Modern Transplantology in Ukraine: Achievements, Challenges, and Prospects for Development.” He spoke about the current progress of transplantology in Ukraine, highlighted achievements and challenges, explained how transplantation programs are being implemented, and emphasized the importance of developing organ donation — which gives people a chance at a new life.

Cardiac surgeon and transplantologist of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and graduate of Bukovinian State Medical University, Sofiia Chaikovska also delivered a lecture entitled “Hearts That Keep Beating: My Path in Transplantation,” where she shared her personal professional experience.

The lectures became a platform for exchanging experience among specialists who work daily with the most complex patients. We extend our gratitude to the Chernivtsi medical community for the invitation.
