Awarding of the Borys Paton National Prize of Ukraine to the Heart Institute Team

On November 27, 2025, the President of Ukraine signed Decree No. 861/2025 awarding the Borys Paton National Prize of Ukraine — the highest state distinction in the field of science and technology.

Our work “Heart Transplantation in Times of War and Peace” received this high state recognition — a unique scientific and clinical project carried out at the Heart Institute.

Today, we, the team of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, have been awarded the 2025 Borys Paton National Prize of Ukraine. This is a great honor and, at the same time, recognition of our scientific and medical work.
We thank the state for its trust, our colleagues for their joint efforts, and our Defenders for making it possible to continue science in an independent Ukraine.

We are proud of our team and continue moving forward — developing Ukrainian science, implementing innovations, and working for the sake of life and the strength of Ukraine.

• Oleh Samchuk — Candidate of Medical Sciences, General Director of the “First Medical Association of Lviv”
