The Heart Institute Team Opened the Academic Year with the Nordic Light on ECLS 2025 Conference

We opened the academic year with the Nordic Light on ECLS 2025 conference, which took place in Stockholm, Sweden on March 26-28, 2025.

The conference was dedicated to the current issues of extracorporeal life support in intensive care for adults and children and the implementation of innovative extracorporeal technologies in transplantation in wartime conditions.

Director of the Heart Institute, Prof. Borys Todurov, presented a report on the work of our team during the war and on the path of development of extracorporeal techniques at the Institute.

Prof. Borys Todurov highlighted the problems faced by Ukrainian doctors, told the European community about the terrible realities and consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine, and also shared his experience in conducting heart transplantation during the war.

The work aroused considerable interest and support from foreign colleagues.

Our specialists met many like-minded people and felt the sincere support of European doctors during such difficult times.
