On September 23, 2024, the Heart Institute became the center of an important event in the field of health care in Ukraine – the ceremonial commissioning of the first MRI machine as part of a large-scale initiative to modernize the medical equipment of our country, launched by the joint efforts of the Government of Japan, in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Crown Agents Japan Limited.

This event gathered distinguished guests:
▫️ Viktor Lyashko, Minister of Health of Ukraine;
▫️ Mr. Kuninori Matsuda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine;
▫️ Mr. Hideki Matsunaga, Chief Representative of the JICA Ukraine Office;
▫️ Management of the companies Inmed Ukraine and Crown Agents Japan Limited.

The opening of the new MRI cabinet was not only a symbolic launch of equipment that will help save people’s lives in Ukraine but also a platform for discussing the achievements and future prospects of this important project.

This project was implemented with the active participation of “INMED Ukraine” LLC, which carries out the commissioning of MRI systems and provides their warranty and post-warranty maintenance.
